I think it was quite foolish of Blizzard to not release Overwatch for the Mac. It should have been available the same day that the Windows version was released. Oftentimes, Mac users are left out in the open as they are unable to play the games that PC counterparts run with ease. So can Overwatch be played on Mac? Can Overwatch be played on Mac? The simple answer is no, not without extra software. For any Mac user on any build of Mac OS, they can not natively run, as it is not supported. If a fan has a Mac and desperately wants to play Overwatch on their computer, there are other ways to run the game. The most common way is to use a program to run Windows on a Mac. This is relatively easy, and there are plenty of guides on how to get these programs and install Windows. From there, all a player has to do is download the Blizzard launcher and purchase the game, if they have not already. ![]() The reason that Overwatch will not play on Mac is not due to technical limitations, but simply OS compatibility.
